WEEK TEN: A NEW COMMITMENT

READ: CHAPTER TEN

DEVOTIONAL

Chapter Ten – A NEW COMMITMENT

The confession of sin is necessary for spiritual health and closeness with God. The deterioration of a nation happens when sin masters the people. If you tolerate lies and rebellion, the devil will gain a foothold. Jesus came to set us free. The people repented and sincerely wanted to return to God.

Coming home to the Lord includes change and aligning with Scripture.

It took three months for families to sort through their faith decisions. This was a crossroads for God’s people. Love God even more than you love people. When you love God, He will fill your heart with a greater love for people. When you love God, you will honor His Word. The list of people who transgressed against God included many priests and Levites. As the leaders go, so go the people.

Godly leadership brings healing to the land.

Humble yourself and drop the pride and excuses. The next generation sadly returned to sin. May our legacy be that we chose to serve God and did everything we could to lead our cities to Jesus.

Just Choose Hope

HOPE POINT

It’s always a good decision to honor God.

PRAYER

Holy Father, may we be faithful in this generation. Guide every person and family, we ask. We need Your Spirit and Word. We will come to our senses and break out of the patterns of the world. We want Biblical Christianity, not cultural Christianity. Jesus, thank You for dying for our sins and overcoming the grave. We have infinite hope because of Your resurrection. May our nation return to You with all of our hearts. We want to glorify Your wonderful name, Jesus, amen.
