WEEK TWO: AN INTENTIONAL PLAN
READ: CHAPTER TWO
DEVOTIONAL
Chapter Two – AN INTENTIONAL PLAN
Every person is significant. We are all made in God’s image.
A movement is created through simple acts of obedience.
Do whatever Jesus tells you to do. Leaving Babylon behind, the journey included change. You can’t move forward if you try to live in the past. The adventure included almost 50,000 people traveling to Jerusalem. The journey would be about 900 miles and would take four months. There were over 8,000 animals that accompanied the Israelites. Following God is intentional.
You need a plan and an adventurous spirit.
God was taking His people out of exile. There are consequences to choosing sin. There are also times of mercy and grace. When you have clarity from God, the decision is simplified. The group who returned included priests, Levites, singers, and gatekeepers. The body of Christ is diverse, and we celebrate the variety of talents and roles that God gives to us.
Just Choose Hope

PRAYER
Gracious God, You make a way when it looks like there is no way. Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. We are very grateful for your guidance and wisdom. Jesus, You are our Good Shepherd. May we walk by faith and trust You in new endeavors. May we leave our comfort zones and be faithful to Your calling. You are always in control. The joy of the Lord is our strength. We praise You and pray in Your name, Jesus, amen.
