Christian Downs, the national training director for Alpha USA, shares his personal story of overcoming addiction and finding purpose through Alpha, a course that helps people explore the Christian faith.

He emphasizes the importance of building relationships, listening, and inviting people to explore faith in a non-judgmental way. Christian encourages listeners to be intentional about reaching out to those in their sphere of influence and joining the conversation that the Holy Spirit is already having with people.

Christian serves as the National Training Director at Alpha USA. After struggling with addiction that began in his youth and carried through his adult life, he came to faith through Alpha while at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. This not only turned around his life, but gave him a lifetime mission of serving others.

He now is in charge of national training at Alpha, a dynamic ministry. Alpha is an interactive course helping people explore the basics of the Christian Faith based off of the most commonly asked questions. All backgrounds and beliefs are welcome.
