Chapter Sixteen – A FINAL ENCOURAGEMENT

Every person is significant. Your story is powerful. Your service to God matters. You are not overlooked by God.

Great will your rewards be in heaven.

It’s important to speak words of affirmation and gratitude. Paul is very intentional in thanking and writing compliments. Remember who serves, works hard, is unselfish, glorifies Jesus, opens their home, goes the extra mile, makes sacrifices, and shares their faith frequently.

We need the entire body of Christ to be active in their faith.

Praying, giving, and serving together with joy in our hearts. It’s a privilege to be alive and live for Jesus. Who are we that He would call and bless us in this way? We have the assurance of salvation which frees us to rest and risk. God has made us to receive and give

His hope daily where we live, work, learn, and play.

Just choose hope. We are unashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God and salvation for all who will believe. All the praise belongs to Jesus. What a glorious Savior!

PRAYER

Gracious God, thank You for loving and calling us. Help us we pray to value people like You do. We want to see people like You do. May our hearts break for what breaks Your heart. Forgive us for our selfishness and strife. We drop our pride today. Forgive us for being overfocused on our comforts and reputation. Jesus, may You increase and we decrease. There are no limits to what You can do. God move in our hearts, homes, cities, and nations like we have never seen even before we ask. We are desperate for a work of Your Spirit. We will just choose hope. We are unashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation. Jesus, You are the Messiah and it’s our honor and joy to abide with You and lead people to You. We ask this all in Your mighty name Lord, amen.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

Take time to reflect on what God has done in your life during the last 16 weeks through the book of Romans. With God’s help, you have invested time in God’s word and now you know at least one book of the Bible well.

You have cultivated the habit of seeking God daily and listening closely to Jesus. You have shared Scripture where you live, work, learn, and play. You have been empowered by the Holy Spirit. You have gained confidence in God and will live more courageously for Jesus.

Review your devotional notes and celebrate the love and truth of the Lord. Choose verses to memorize as you walk by faith. God wants to lead you into new victories through the power of the Holy Spirit.

As you abide with Jesus, begin to dream again about what God wants to do in your life. Think about how God has provided, guided, and protected. God has blessed you to be a blessing. Jesus is the One who heals us and satisfies our souls with Living Water.
