Chapter One – THE GOOD NEWS

The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave. The Apostle Paul is writing to the followers of Jesus in Rome on his third missionary journey in the book of Acts, around 57AD.

He communicates that we are saved through faith in Christ by the grace of God. He also shares God’s plan with Jews and Gentiles and his desire to visit as well.

God’s righteousness is received, not achieved.

God’s wrath is real. Because people have suppressed the truth and have chosen arrogance, gossip, idolatry, perversion, and lust instead of the Savior.

The wages of sin is death, but there is hope in the Lord and His mercy.

We are to be unashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God that rescues and redeems sinners. Jesus is the Messiah, and everyone should hear how to have a relationship with God and spend eternity with Jesus. There’s no reason to be timid about sharing our faith and leading people to the Lord, who is the resurrection and the life.

Just Choose Hope

HOPE POINT

The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone because He died for our sins and overcame the grave.

PRAYER

Father God, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to pay the full price for our sins and defeat death. We are eternally grateful to be in Your family and be with You forever. We turn from sin today and seek You with all of our hearts. Forgive us for being too silent about the gospel. We pray that we will walk in the light and reject what is evil. In Your mighty name we ask this Lord Jesus, amen.
