Chapter Ten – HEARING AND BELIEVING

The law leads us to Jesus. The law can’t produce righteousness. The law doesn’t change our hearts; we are transformed by the grace of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Many of the Israelites pursued righteousness through obedience and believed that keeping the law is the way to earn God’s approval.

The truth is that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

The only way to be accepted and completely forgiven by our holy God is through faith in Jesus. God’s beautiful plan is that once you know Jesus, you will lead as many people to Jesus as possible. People can’t believe unless they hear the good news of the death and resurrection of Jesus. That’s one reason that we are unashamed of the gospel.

Anyone, Jew or Gentile, who calls on Jesus and believes in their heart will be saved.

Everyone should have the opportunity to know Christ. The ones who know Christ are called to make Him known. This is not a suggestion from God; it is the great commission, our purpose and a daily top priority. Keep taking relationship and gospel risks. You are blessed to be a blessing. May we see a harvest of souls in this season as we pray and labor together.

PRAYER

Gracious God, You have called us to bring the gospel to the entire world. Forgive us for being silent, distracted, fearful, and disobedient. We confess that our priorities have been misguided. We confess that we love being comfortable and want to be in control. We ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We want to glorify You. We want to communicate Your greatness Jesus. We are so thankful for how You have blessed and changed our lives. We pray that we would be faithful locally and globally. We ask this in Your unrivaled name Lord Jesus, amen.
