BOOK OF PSALMS
PART SIX: Psalms 71-84
READ: PSALM 84
DEVOTIONAL
PSALM 84
The temple was a formal place of worship. Some priests lived in rooms at the temple. Some gatherings included a pilgrimage to seek God in the temple. People came with a hunger for God. These were significant times of spiritual life and growth.
The temple was a place where God transformed lives.
God rewards faith. A meaningful encounter with God can change someone’s character, attitude, relationships, and purpose. God can turn a dry valley into a place of refreshing springs. God can give strength to overcome our weaknesses. God can restore marriages and families.
There are no limits to what God can do.
There are no limits to what God can do. Our role is to worship Him in spirit and in truth. We are called to offer thanksgiving with reverence and awe. There is joy in His presence, and we honor Him with singing. We need God and each other as we journey forward together.

PRAYER
Everlasting Father, You are perfect. You never run out of power and peace. Your love sustains us in the most difficult days. On our journey, You are our source and shield. We would rather serve You in any capacity than live for ourselves or fall into the pattern of the world. Deliver us from sin and selfish motives, we ask. We want to be bold and faithful in this generation. We live for Your glory, Lord, amen.
