BOOK OF EPHESIANS

PART EIGHT: CHRISTIAN LIVING

READ: EPHESIANS 4:17-32

DEVOTIONAL

EPHESIANS 4:17-32

Jesus is the light of the world. He is the source, and we are the reflectors. Jesus calls us the light of the world. The light of God is greater than the darkness of the world.

Light will prevail over darkness.

The Holy Spirit in us is stronger than sin and demons. God will give you a way out of every temptation. Jesus breaks footholds and sets us free. Let go of guilt and shame in Jesus’ name. Because we are new creations in the Lord, let’s live consistently with our new identity. We shine the light brightly when we speak the truth in love, listen well, and build each other up in our relationship with God. Get rid of all bitterness and resentment.

Honor the Lord with your attitude.

Forgive each other fully. Be gracious and compassionate. This section of Scripture is a perfect playbook for healthy relationships. The Holy Spirit will empower you to live out these verses and be a doer of God’s Word.

We want to love our neighbors with Your love. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for guiding us and convicting us. Search our hearts, Lord. We guard the unity we have as Your family. We will build each other up with our words. We want to grow in our unity, Jesus. We pray in Your name, amen.
