STAGE SIX: HOW TO DO LOCAL EVANGELISM

Colossians 4:4-6 “Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved. How can people believe if they have not heard? This news is too great for us to be silent or indifferent. Beautiful are the feet of those who bring this message.
Jesus is the remedy, and He rescues the perishing.
The one vision is that everyone leads one person to Jesus. Every day, more people are deciding to follow Jesus. What an honor to lead people to the Lord (Acts 20:24). Jesus tells a parable of leaving the 99 sheep to seek and save the lost sheep. People are usually far more ready to hear about Jesus than we are ready to share with them. We say we are waiting on God, but many times God is actually waiting on us.
Start serving people and meeting needs in your community.
Love your neighbors, care for those who are struggling, and tackle injustice. In addition to your good works, communicate the good news of Jesus often. We can’t save anyone, but we can be faithful in sharing the Gospel and trust God with the results. Lead people to Jesus where you live, work, learn, and play.

DISCIPLESHIP MILESTONES
1. Identify the greatest needs in the community and ask God how you can make a difference.
2. Write down your testimony and share it with someone. Watch the training videos on Justchoosehope.org on the HOPE Impact page.
3. Take gospel risks and start sharing your faith every week. Invite more people to church too so no one walks alone.
This week, make a list of all your friends, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, and co-workers who don’t know Jesus yet and begin to pray daily for them. God will give you opportunities and courage.
