WEEK ONE – SERMON NOTES
Joshua’s Journey: More Courage
INTRODUCTION
God wanted to lead His people into the Promised Land, but they spent a generation in the wilderness. Instead of being grateful, they grumbled. Instead of trusting God, they doubted His faithfulness.
Instead of receiving a great victory, they forfeited the grace that was offered. Fear wants to shrink God’s vision and promises. Worry undermines progress. We are all tempted to play it safe and remain in our comfort zone rather than abide with Jesus.
God called Joshua to go where his ancestors refused to go. God was doing a new work in a new generation. There are breakthroughs in our lives when we trust God with all of our heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).

CONCLUSION
God is glorified when we overcome opposition and finish the assignment that He gives us. We are all called to be His ambassadors and shine His light brightly. God never promises that the calling will be easy.
It will be impossible to do without Him. No one was bolder and humbler than Jesus. God will give you courage at every turn. God leads us with deep conviction and clarity. A generation received the promises of God and celebrated as they were taking ground for the Lord.
In our weakness, God’s power is evident. Fear doesn’t come from God. The Holy Spirit will work through you in mighty ways.
