40 Days Of Victory
Sermon Series Overview
All victories come from Jesus. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, we are not defeated. Jesus already won, and we want to walk in the abundant life He promises. It’s time to break out of discouragement and darkness.
“40 Days of Victory” is designed to draw us close to Jesus, dive deeper into God’s Word, and receive the blessings and breakthroughs that God has for us.
When an entire church journeys through Scripture together, it’s a time of growth, unity, and healing.
God ignites a fire in our souls. God designs us to receive and give His indestructible hope daily where we live, work, learn, and play. God’s victories are given to you and through you. These 40 days are not only about your personal development but also the impact God wants you to have. God is going to change many lives during the 40 days for His glory.
This series includes sermons, small group Bible studies, and daily devotions. We want to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Spending time in the Bible as a church family, in small groups, and personally alone with God are essential and powerful.
THE JOURNEY
In this series, we will journey with six different people in the Bible: Joshua, Ruth, Esther, Barnabas, Phillip, and Timothy. There is also a theme each week, highlighted as God brings victories in the areas of courage, love, hope, encouragement, purpose, and faith.
There is a weekly sermon and small group questions for each message. There are also daily devotions and videos to help you dive deeper into Scripture. Every day, there is a new victory from God and His word to receive. God transforms us as we believe Scripture and trust the Holy Spirit. We can become exhausted and discouraged when we don’t abide with Jesus.
With Jesus, we will overflow with hope and bear much fruit. Jesus came to give us abundant life. God wants to empower us to shine His light in a dark world.
NEW VICTORIES
New victories come daily through the power of the Holy Spirit. God leads us into the life that is truly life. We have been timid, silent, sleepy, and distracted for too long. God wants to fill us with His infinite hope, purpose, and passion. When you abide with Jesus, you will bear much fruit.
We are ambassadors for Jesus, and we want to make the most of our opportunities to glorify God. The good news is that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave. The gospel is for everyone. We have a sense of urgency as we understand the times and the condition of our cities today. For such a time as this, we want to be faithful to God and live like Jesus.
The church should be the most hope-filled place in the community. The church should influence the culture more than the culture influences the church. The world is bold about sin, and it’s time to be courageous for Jesus. Jesus is full of love and truth.
MORE LIKE JESUS
New victories include becoming more like Jesus. We want to live and love like our Lord. New victories include repentance. God delivers us out of sin, distraction, and despair. New victories include courage and faithfulness. We are not giving up or playing it safe because Jesus is our living hope!
New victories include reactions and attitudes that honor God. Jesus is risen and leads us into new triumphs, habits, and patterns. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus gives us eternal and abundant life. New victories include restoration. Jesus is our Good Shepherd.
New victories include learning and being a doer of God’s Word. There is evil in our world and a spiritual battle, but we stand firm with the armor of God and move forward together by faith. During these forty days, pray that you can lead someone to Jesus or the community of faith.
New victories include transformed lives. Everyone reaches one person. God has blessed you to bless others. Be devoted in prayer and intentional in loving your neighbors. Take relationship risks as you invite people to come with you to church. Jesus changes lives, one person at a time.
May Jesus be glorified in our hearts, homes, churches, and cities.
