Read Ruth 1:11-18 and then watch the DAY EIGHT video.
Ruth and Naomi’s husbands have tragically died. Naomi decides to move from Moab back to Bethlehem. Ruth knows that widows often lack protection and provision. Ruth chooses to commit to taking care of Naomi for the years to come. Ruth joins Naomi in the journey with a heart that is ready to serve and sacrifice. Love is demonstrated and evident in someone’s priorities and actions. Loyal love comes from God and is seen in Ruth.

PRAYER
Father God, thank You that You keep Your covenants and are always consistent. Thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love, Jesus. Because You first loved us, we love one another. In a world that is often selfish, free us from that trap and mindset. Forgive us for missed opportunities. Open our eyes, we pray, to see people the way You do, Lord. We ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.
