Read Esther 5:1-8 and then watch the DAY NINETEEN video.
It’s easy to wait on God when God is actually waiting on us. It’s also easy to run ahead of God, following our own plans. God’s plan includes God’s way and God’s timing. Esther knows that God’s strategy includes several phases. Because she is acting with wisdom, she is aware of all of the dynamics. God is guiding her to approach and make requests of the king at the right time. Timing is massive. She has a sense of urgency and is sensitive to the right moments to speak. The Holy Spirit will guide, comfort, and empower you.
When can you take time to listen to God and ask for wisdom today?
VICTORY
Listen to God and keep in step with the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER
Almighty God, You are all-knowing and all-powerful. Forgive us for trying to live the Christian life in our own strength instead of relying on You. Relationships and life are complex. Your thoughts and ways are higher than ours. May we not be behind or ahead of Your timing. We trust You with the process and are ready to take initiative. May our priorities and plans reflect Your heart and mind. We ask this all in Your name, Jesus, amen.
