DAY SIXTEEN
There is no replacement for God. The woman at the well had been married five times, but never found contentment. She assumed that if she found the right spouse, life would be wonderful. No man could meet her deepest needs. She carried shame and so many broken relationships. Jesus found her. She had a reputation in her city. Jesus broke cultural norms to have a conversation with her and offer her Living Water. The Savior brings security. The woman had relationships, routines, and religion, but no restoration.
Real acceptance can only come from the real Messiah.
God is love. She finally found the One who healed her broken heart. She was overjoyed as she ran through town proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God. Many people in the city came to Jesus and believed. The woman who could not experience peace was introducing everyone to the Prince of Peace. She received and became an instrument of healing and hope. The hope of Jesus is available in abundance for everyone!

PRAYER
Gracious God, You renew us with Your compassion and kindness. Jesus, thank You for Living Water that satisfies our thirsty souls. Failure doesn’t define us, because we are made new in You Lord. Our identity is secure, and we are in Your wonderful family forever. Thank You Jesus, amen!
