DAY FIVE
One encounter with Jesus can change your life forever. Bartimaeus had one opportunity as Jesus passed by, and he was not going to remain silent. He cried out to the Lord, but the crowd told him to be quiet. It was a defining moment in his life. As a beggar, he was treated as a second-rate person for years. He was never able to see faces or a beautiful sunset.
His desire for Jesus was greater than the pressure of the crowd.
His faith in God would not be denied. Jesus responded by welcoming and healing him. Our desperate and determined prayers reach heaven. Restoration comes when we reject false teaching and bad advice. Those who try to hold you down are not as strong as God’s righteous right hand. Praise God for His Grace and mercy!

PRAYER
Holy Father, You are omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. You are love, light, and a consuming fire. We choose not to fear people or give them too much power. We seek and honor You. Lord Jesus, You are first in our lives, and we give you thanks and praise today, amen.
