Chapter Six – GOD’S PROVISION

How can five loaves of bread and two fish feed thousands of people? Jesus multiplies what we offer to the Lord. God will take what we have and do what we cannot do.

Simple acts of obedience are connected to great victories and demonstrations of the power of God. God’s ultimate goal is not to fill our stomachs, as important as that is.

We need the word of God to fill our souls.

Jesus is the bread of life. Look beyond the blessings of creation to the Creator Himself. We are made for relationship with our Maker. We need His presence. God is not a cosmic vending machine.

Don’t let the miracle distract you from the Master.

Jesus walks on water not simply to impress the disciples with His abilities. It leaves us in awe and wonder as we worship our God. The miracles build our faith and devotion. The end goal is not just to read and celebrate these feats, but to move our feet and follow the Lord with all of our heart.
