Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

WEEK 3 – FAITHFULNESS
DAY SIXTEEN
The apostles were questioned, threatened, and mistreated yet they filled Jerusalem with the gospel. There was a steely determination in their souls to reach everyone with the hope of Jesus.
The religious elite who appeared to have all of the positions and power didn’t realize the power they were facing. When the followers of Jesus would not be controlled by the people in leadership, the ruling authorities wanted to kill them.
Corruption and hypocrisy hate the presence of God and try to exert their force with bullying and physical force. When the people of God are not intimidated, their conviction deepens.
You can look darkness in the face and decide that you will walk in the light. God will raise up surprise advocates for you.
Your joy will exceed the opposition.
Your joy will exceed the opposition. Live for Jesus and do not look back. Life is too short, and eternity is too long to slow down because of criticism and cruel comments. Never stop proclaiming Jesus to a weary world.
You were made to live with a steel spine and kind heart as you build up people and the kingdom of God.

PRAYER
Father God, You are worth following no matter the cost. Where else will we turn but to you Jesus? There is no other name by which we are saved. You have our affection and devotion. We live to give You praise and build Your kingdom. In Your wonderful name we pray. Amen.
