DAY TWENTY-THREE
The power of God carries hope. The power of God transforms lives.
The power of God is appealing and desirable. The power of God is unstoppable. If God is for us, who can be against us?
Philip went to Samaria, and God saved many people there. There were baptism celebrations and intentional discipleship. Peter and John arrived and introduced people to the Spirit-filled life of following Jesus and the Holy Spirit filled God’s people.
This was not religion or rules, but a relationship with the living God.
Simon, who practiced sorcery, had a heart full of bitterness and wanted to buy God’s presence. The message of God was to repent and purify motives.
God’s kingdom and work will not be manipulated. Counterfeits will be exposed. The refiner’s fire is intense. God alone will receive all of the praise!

PRAYER
Gracious God, we do not want to look clean on the outside and be full of dead bones on the inside. There is no life in covering up deception and rebellion. We want to be right with You. Search our hearts and purge the sin. We want to be full of integrity and consistent in our walk with You. We ask this all in Jesus’ powerful name. Amen.
