DAY THIRTY-NINE
Disciples who are filled with the Holy Spirit are filled with an overflowing hope and joy. This inner work leads to an outer work where cities are filled with the gospel of Jesus.
God wants to fill us and our cities.
This has been God’s design and roadmap since the beginning of the church. Many Christians have given up hope that their cities can be transformed.
Many churches are not the most hope-filled place in the city. Many homes have strife, tension, and a dearth of prayer and Scripture. Our hearts have drifted more than we realize.
We need a reversal – a revival that leads to reformation. In other words, start doing what God has always told us to do in His word, so that it becomes daily instead of occasionally.
There can be a new rhythm in our relationship with God that is saturated with hope. Reject the narrative of hopelessness. Cultivate the habits that break strongholds. Do not settle for less.

PRAYER
Holy God, move us outside of the four walls of the church with a white-hot faith. We pray for our region. We pray for peace, healing, repentance, restoration, collaboration, and salvation. We ask for a move of the Holy Spirit in power and glory. We need an awakening. May Your people be filled with hope and compelled like never before. All of this is for Your glory, Jesus. Amen.
