DAY FORTY-EIGHT
False accusations are painful. Injustice is very frustrating. Being attacked by crowds is scary. Thrown in prison while you are innocent is awful.
Life is not always fair. People can be cruel. Systems are sometimes rigged and broken.
When it feels like everything is working against you, just choose hope.
No one can stop you from seeking God, praising Jesus, singing and praying, being thankful, persevering, trusting God, receiving the love of Jesus, inspiring others, and shining God’s light in the darkness.
The infinite hope of Jesus is greater than the challenges you face. Paul and Silas realized what they still had and worshipped near the jailer who would later decide to follow Jesus. The gospel would then spread across Europe.
Bless the Lord at all times. Your darkest moments may often precede a breakthrough. A gritty gratitude can be the catalyst for a chain of victories and changed lives.

PRAYER
Father God, You are worthy. We will praise You for eternity. Please help us to remember to thank You even when we feel discouraged and are suffering. Your presence changes us from the inside out. We will choose to abide with You, Jesus, and reject the narrative of hopelessness. We pray this because of Your goodness, Lord. Amen.
