84 Days Of Soaring

WEEK SEVEN – SOLUTIONS
DAY 49 – The Starting Point

Where To Start
Read Acts 17:1-9 and then watch the DAY FORTY-NINE  video.

As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures.

Acts 17:2

DEVOTIONAL

WEEK 7 – SOLUTIONS
DAY FORTY-NINE

Some of God’s assignments will initially feel overwhelming. Do not be paralyzed by limited thinking.

God will give you a vision that is far beyond your own abilities.

He is teaching you how much you need Him and the teams He provides.

Paul entered new cities where there was idolatry, rebellion, impurity, violence, greed, and hard hearts. Maybe you live in a neighborhood, work at a job, or have hobbies where you are in spiritual environments that are very dark. It may not be comfortable for you, but you are there for a reason.

God will give you a roadmap and personal guidance. Paul frequently began on the Sabbath in the synagogue and initiated conversations about God.

Start in places and with people who share some common ground and are open to Jesus. Find a man or woman of peace. Then go to people in the community who have an interest. Ask questions, listen, and share your story.

You might be surprised by how many people would enjoy a respectful and kind dialogue about hope and God. Instead of overthinking and giving in to fears, find a starting point and trust God.

Just Choose Hope

HOPE POINT

Go to where people are and feed those who are spiritually open or hungry.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

Why does Paul begin in the synagogue as he shares the gospel?

What are the range of results when you tell people about Jesus?

How can we saturate our communities with the hope of Jesus?

PRAYER

Merciful God, thank You for how You have intentionally pursued us. Thank You, Jesus, for coming to earth and dying for our sins. We embrace Your purpose for our lives. We want Biblical Christianity. We want to redeem the times. We are the light of the world and will not hide the light any longer. In Your name we pray, Lord. Amen.
