DAY FIFTY-FIVE
God is still changing hearts today the same way that He was in the book of Acts. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The gospel is saturated with hope and power.
God stirs His people to be bold with sharing the good news about Jesus. God’s power is evident in our weakness, as He uses flawed and unlikely disciples to build up His kingdom.
As people hear about the Lord, the Holy Spirit convicts. Confession is the fruit of conviction.
The Ephesians eagerly and openly acknowledged their rebellion and turned to God for restoration. They burned their sorcery scrolls in a demonstration of the wonderful decision.
Sin no longer had a hold on their lives and the truth had set them free. They had moved from darkness to light and death to life. Confession is agreeing with God in your beliefs and lifestyle.
A solid church in Ephesus is what emerged in a culture of confession as hearts were laid bare and humble before our holy God. Repentance is essential for revival as we make room for the presence of God in our lives.

PRAYER
Have Your way in us, Lord. We want no hidden sins or footholds in our lives. Cleanse our hearts, we pray, as we consecrate ourselves to You, God. We are asking for a purity revolution and may it start in our homes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
