DAY NINE
The greatest causes often include the biggest opposition. There is light versus darkness, good versus evil, God versus the devil, and hope versus despair.
Whoever lives fully for Jesus will experience persecution for their faith.
Peter and John were proclaiming Jesus, and many believed. As a result, the religious leaders seized them and put them in jail.
Believers around the world currently face this pressure and reality. If Peter and John had remained quiet, the conflict would have disappeared, but they refused to be silent or give into fear.
The good news about Jesus is like a fire in our bones. God does not call us to play it safe. The goal of our lives is not to be comfortable. That is cultural Christianity that caters to the flesh.
Biblical Christianity nudges us out of the nest, relying on the Holy Spirit, so that we can soar together.
