Ministry is wild, intense, and wonderful. If you want everything to be planned, predictable, and contained, that is just not a reality.

When you read the Bible, capture the emotion and the humanity in the stories. We have Peter showing up, and the group who has been praying for his release and rescue is stunned that it happened.
God used their mustard seed faith and performed a miracle. They initially could not believe that their prayers were answered. At the same time, Herod is furious that God thwarted his plans by sending an angel.
Herod and any ruler are no match for God. Herod takes out his frustration, sadly, by executing the guards. When God’s people are active in their faith, darkness rages and God’s hope is unstoppable.
No committee could put this together. Be wise and flexible. Be willing to move with the Spirit. Do not fear but be bold and give God all the honor and praise.

PRAYER
God, You are victorious. It is foolish to be proud and stubborn in our sins. Set us free today from resisting the Holy Spirit. Forgive us for our lack of faith. Thank You for being faithful and kind. We praise You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
