So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter.

DAY FORTY-FOUR
When you are navigating a challenge and protecting unity, there are both the decisions you make and the communication you bring.
God gave the leaders wisdom to not add extra burdens on the Gentiles. They were very reasonable and considerate. In addition, the approach with communication was flawless.
The leaders intentionally kept the process very personal by sending Judas, Silas, Paul, and Barnabas who were very solid and well respected. The miles traveled made a statement as well about valuing everyone involved and those who would be affected.
Then they put the decision in writing to have clarity. If you skip this step, it leaves the door open for misunderstandings and confusion.
Lastly, they acknowledged that they had been seeking God. It was a prayerful faith decision as they consulted the Holy Spirit. There was a posture of humility and surrender to God.
Hope increases when we communicate well and walk through conflicts honoring Jesus.

Father God, thank You for giving us Your eternal word. Thank You that the Bible is reliable. Thank You that You keep Your promises. Please help us communicate well at home, church, and work. We want to choose words that glorify You, Jesus. Amen.
