While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

WEEK 6 – MULTIPLICATION
DAY THIRTY-SEVEN
In a fast-paced and noisy culture, you need to slow down to intentionally seek God and listen for His guidance. There is one voice that matters and one Shepherd who is calling you.
We honor God when we guard unity.
Notice that at Antioch the church was very diverse. Also, they valued church each Sunday and worshipped together. They also knew that fasting increases clarity and hope.
The Holy Spirit selected who will go and the church trusted God. They sent their top leaders to plant more churches and strengthen other churches.
Their vision was far beyond Antioch. They were not self-consumed as a local church. The mission would be difficult, but it was worth it. They continued in prayer and faith as they drove out the darkness wherever they went.
On the contrast, many believers today are distracted, skip church, have division, don’t fast, worship halfheartedly, don’t take gospel risks and only think as far as their own city. May the Holy Spirit lead us to Biblical, not cultural, Christianity. There is a big difference.

PRAYER
Almighty God, You are the potter and we are the clay. You did not create us to be bored and passive. Your promptings change our plans. We fully surrender to You now. Lead us even when the assignments are surprising and difficult. We praise You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
