84 Days Of Soaring
WEEK TEN – APOLOGETICS
DAY 68 – Be An Advocate
Where To Start
Read Acts 23:12-22 and then watch the DAY SIXTY-EIGHT video.
But when the son of Paul’s sister heard of this plot, he went into the barracks and told Paul.
DEVOTIONAL
WEEK 10 – APOLOGETICS
DAY SIXTY-EIGHT
Many people around the world today know about the apostle Paul, but few know about the son of Paul’s sister.
More than forty men had taken a solemn oath to not eat anything until they had killed Paul. Paul, like Jesus, lived with constant death threats. The plot included a cunning deception of appearing to want more information, but the plan was murder.
When this young man, Paul’s nephew, heard about the dangerous threat, he risked his life by running to the barracks to let Paul know. Paul notified a centurion and tragedy was avoided.
You will have opportunities every week to alleviate suffering and provide a timely word, warning, or message filled with hope.
Be a voice for the voiceless and an advocate for those who are victims.
If you know what God is nudging you to do, then do it. Your name might not be known, and your deeds may not be very appreciated by some people, but it will make a difference in someone’s life and God will reward you in due time.
Just Choose Hope
HOPE POINT
God will guide you how to warn and rescue people.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
How does the son of Paul’s sister encourage you?
When has God used someone to warn and protect you from danger?
How does God thwart the plans of the enemy in the Bible?
PRAYER
Omnipotent God, no weapon formed against us shall prosper because You are our shield and deliverer. Nothing is hidden from Your sight. You shine the light in the darkness. We find shelter under the shadow of Your wings. You know when to call us home, Lord, and we pray in Your mighty name. Amen.
