The laws of the land are designed to protect and provide.
Know your legal rights.
Sometimes Christians are quiet about their faith and timid in their approach because they do not realize the freedoms they have. There are other times that Christians are mistreated and there are double standards in the land.
The goal here is not to exaggerate or create a victim mentality. Instead, we need to spread our wings and be all God has called us to be.
The apostle Paul was a Roman citizen but was treated like he was second class. He faced injustice after injustice, but he endured with a fervent and resilient hope.
In this passage, his Roman rights were realized. He appealed and entered a legal process. You, too, can be full of faith and stand up for your rights.
We are citizens of heaven, which is our home. We are also citizens of a nation which includes protection. In America, we have been given freedoms that can be exercised to glorify God.
Many people gave their lives to give us the country we have today. Walk in those freedoms in Christ.

What does it mean that we are citizens of heaven?
PRAYER
Father God, help us to know when to be vocal about the wrongs we see in our land. Help us to defend those who do not have a voice. We want to honor You in our positions and words. Thank You for the laws and policies that are designed to protect us. Thank You for the selfless people who are devoted to protecting our safety and families. We pray that You would comfort them and give us all courage. In Jesus’ name, amen.
