DAY SEVENTY-NINE
There are going to be times when God is telling you what not to do. Listen to His voice. The Holy Spirit will communicate to your mind and heart.
A firm warning is a gift. Do not ignore or deny God’s perspective or message.
Whoever has ears to hear let them hear. It might be a dating relationship, a friendship, a business partnership, a false teacher, or a ministry invitation.
If God’s not in it, you don’t want it. Paul listened to God when others were full of themselves and stubborn about their plans. As the voyage began and the weather forecast was stormy, Paul tried to dissuade the crew from sailing.
His words fell on deaf ears. It’s frustrating to experience unnecessary hardship. Taking time to listen to God and honor His direction will save you time, effort, relationships, headaches, regrets, and scars.

PRAYER
Omniscient God, thank You for confiding in those who fear You. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for revealing truth to us. We are like watchmen who have a responsibility to communicate when we see danger or disasters coming. May we not assume how people will respond to truth. May we not fear people’s reactions. May we speak the truth in love and trust You with the results. Our prayer is to always honor You Jesus. Amen.
