DAY THREE
Pentecost is a name that we should all celebrate. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit was the best gift the church could have desired.
God’s presence makes the difference in our lives.
Our greatest need today is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and God fills His people. Without the Spirit, we walk in the flesh and the church flounders.
Theologians discuss this passage, and there are debates about what is descriptive of what happened and what is prescriptive and should always happen. The Holy Spirit consequently has become a controversial topic in many churches and sadly is avoided or very limited in terms of a welcome.
Let us let God be God and let God lead. Jesus was filled and led by the Spirit, and we need the same. We need a fresh fire in our souls that the world cannot contain. The disciples were accused of being drunk, but the truth is they were full of God’s joy and hope.
