DAY FIVE
What a glorious day as about three thousand people decided to follow Jesus. These are disciples, not merely decisions.
When there is a harvest of souls, follow up can be messy and complex.
The church was devoted to both leading as many people to Christ and helping them connect with the community of faith as they take the next steps spiritually.
May we be committed daily to do the same with sincere passion and courage. Imagine the scene as all of them were also baptized in water. There have been recent baptisms in California with about the same number of people, and it is incredibly inspiring.
Notice water baptism in the Bible happens with joy and urgency. If someone puts their trust in Jesus, water baptism is the next step. Do not delay what God has made clear to do.
Baptism does not save you. It is part of growing in your faith and publicly declaring that Jesus is your Savior.

PRAYER
Gracious God, I pray for open doors and boldness to share my faith. It is difficult for me, but I want to do what You have asked me to do Jesus. I choose Your word over the world. May You be glorified. I ask this in Your mighty name, Lord. Amen.
